Taking an interest-based loan is legally forbidden unless there is a necessity behind taking out this loan through applying and operating the legal rule “necessities renders the prohibitions lawful". Since, taking a loan with interest is legally forbidden unless there is a necessity allowing it, e.g. no one accepts to lend a free loan. In this case, there is no harm in taking out a loan for an interest through applying the legal rule “necessities make the prohibitions lawful".
To conclude, the questioner may take a loan from the bank if s/he is urgently in need of it. However, s/he must take only what meets the urgent necessity equitably without going beyond the proper limits of necessity.
Allah knows the best!
